Live traffic video - BAB A7 SH
on basis of bitcontrol® Video Streaming Server
The Land Schleswig-Holstein provides the internet portal strassen-sh.de that contain information about the traffic on the highways, the building sites and the weather. The project transmits also as an addition live video via internet to different devices.
Beside the display of the live video streams in a browser, all usual devices like PC, Mac, notebook, netbook, tablet and smartphones with different operating systems are supported with the help of Adobe Flash video. For this the video server in the internet provides different video compression and streaming formats.

Strassen-SH for iPhone and iPad
The Ministerium für Wirtschaft, Arbeit, Verkehr und Technologie des Landes Schleswig-Holstein and the Landesbetrieb Straßenbau und Verkehr Schleswig-Holstein provides direct transmission of video cameras and webcams that are situated at important traffic connections in Schleswig-Holstein.
Project realisation
The basis of the project realisation is the bitcontrol® Video Streaming Server - multi format - that
- prepares the video streams in the traffic control center and the internet,
- transforms the video streams in other video formats and
- transmits them to different devices.
The high scale from PAL (704x576 pixel) to QCIF (176x144 pixel) saves band width and traffic costs. So it is possible that some hundred users can receive the videob at the same time on diffenent devices at low costs.
